How can we help the wood industry?
In the 1970s, a wood product called konz wood was being developed for commercial wood products.
These products were made with konz resin, which was the wood’s solidified formaldehyde, and the product was used for all kinds of things, including furniture, paper, and carpet.
These were the days before we had a reliable way of testing for wood preservatives.
This was around the time of the first lab-grown food.
Since then, we’ve had thousands of lab-created food products, but most are still made with imported ingredients.
Here’s a small selection of the wood products that are now made using imported konz: carpet and carpets, woodworking supplies, durable furniture, fabrics, home furnishings, dental and dental products,wood-building supplies, paper products,carpet-pile,biofuels sources New Scientist
